The celebrations officially begin on 29th November, when the Christmas lights are switched on, transforming the town centre into a sparkling festive wonderland.  Verified Race and Stay Visit. Return visit to Gleesons having been there May ‘25, excellent location in town centre, very friendly staff and delicious breakfast with enough options. Rooms are basic but very clean, well stocked with toiletries and comfortable. Also, for a town centre location it’s extremely quiet and no issues getting a good nights rest.  Verified Fantastic stay What a CLEAN, beautiful old fashioned up scaled Bed and Breakfast!! The staff are AMAZING!!! The room is a bit small, but the rain shower head makes up for that.  Verified Great value overnight escape from the City Booked an overnight to escape the City. Only 90 minutes drive from Dublin & we had a very relaxing break. We dined in the Restaurant which had an extensive menu very reasonably priced & the service was top class from very attentive staff.  Verified Well worth the stay We stayed here for an overnight on a drive from Larne to Clifden. The Welcome - Reception couldn’t have been more helpful, taking time out to show us where everything was and how everything worked. The Rooms - Clean, tidy, comfortable The Food - we all three opted for the Signature Lamb Stew and it received a 10/10 all round. The various other dishes that we saw getting carried around the restaurant looked very appealing too. The Staff - Efficient, professional, yet still had time for a bit of craic. A great team.  Verified Simply superb A fantastic stay. The hotel is right in the town centre with plenty of pubs and eateries nearby (or you can eat in the hotel). Staff are very friendly and helpful. There's private, free, covered parking at the back of the hotel. (We are a group of motorbikers and this was a huge influence to stay here - the hotel needs to publicise this more to the biking fraternity! This is the kind of thing we're looking for.) Rooms are clean and bright. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast, which is cooked to order (always a bonus) is superb with plenty of choice - the poached eggs were just perfect and serving staff were really lovely.

 Verified HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - we will be returning sometime in 2026! Gleesons in Roscommon is a real gem of a find! You will not be disappointed. Our ferry over from UK was cancelled and so did not arrive until 0130 - not an issue at all. Information on how to access their secure car park and where to find our room key were provided by email. All the staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming, particularly when a friend of ours was without a room for one night (until the following day). She was allowed to stay with us in our room, with a mattress plus full bedding placed on the floor to accommodate her! That was certainly above and beyond. Thank you! Large room, very comfortable king size bed, high standard of cleanliness. The food! My goodness! Top quality, well presented and locally sourced. The Chef's home made soda bread baked daily was to die for! We had a birthday celebration meal for 14 people and there were no lengthy waits for our 3 courses to be brought out. The location of Gleesons is perfect, in the centre of Roscommon town with all amenities and easily accessible to all the main roads.  Verified Charming place to stay in fabulous location We stayed two nights in Gleesons whilst visiting family in the area. We definitely made the right choice of accommodation. Gleesons is very charming, comfortable and the staff are all fabulous and so friendly. We just opted for the cheaper double knowing we wouldn't be in the room a great deal, bit it was perfect. Quite small but clean, comfortable, quiet, sweet bathroom with suprisingly good shower. We ate breakfast and dinner there and then had a drink at the front in the sunshine. Location is great with secure parking at the back. Roscommon town was a suprise - very sweet place with traditional pubs and indeoendent shops etc. Great stay!
