We are delighted to be reopen and show you whats been happening behind the scenes since Spring. We have a new look and refurbished The Manse Restaurant, Gleesons Café and the reception area.

In addition, a brand new Whiskey Bar has been installed, Eamonn’s pride and joy. The entire Townhouse – restaurant and café, with period guestrooms – have been reorganised to meet COVID 19 requirements, and all staff have undergone relevant training.

“We’ve been very busy since we had to close our doors in March,” explained Cáit Gleeson, General Manager. “The café and reception have been refurbished. We have completely revamped the restaurant giving it a contemporary new look. We’ve kept up our tradition of supporting local by using all local craftsmen, and a specially commissioned feature artwork by Rita Oates getting pride of place.”

We have added new dishes to the menus from our Head Chef Kieran Brennan and they continue to have a strong bias towards local and organic produce, including organic Roscommon lamb from our family farm. All breads are freshly baked in-house every day. Both Gleesons Café and Manse Restaurant menus feature fare for any time of day from breakfast to late evening dining. Gluten-free, heart healthy and vegetarian alternatives are all available.

Gleesons has signed up to the Fáilte Ireland COVID 19 Safety Charter. Automatic door handle sanitisers, made by Co. Clare company AJ Plastics, have been fitted on public area and bathroom doors. A new one-way system is in place, and the Gleeson’s COVID 19 policy includes contact tracing. Walk-in diners are welcome but advance booking would be appreciated for tables in both the Café and Manse Restaurant.

“We have made all the changes needed to keep everyone safe, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the famous Gleesons welcome,” said Cáit Gleeson.
