Christmas in Roscommon kicks off with the ceremonial switching on of the Christmas Lights, turning the town centre into a Christmassy wonderland. Eamonn Gleeson is an integral part of the Christmas Lights Committee and is justly proud of the strides made in recent years to make them eco-friendly, using LED bulbs, and reducing electricity usage by a whopping 75%.
The popular Christmas Market takes place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December each year. This is always a lovely celebration with a traditional festive atmosphere. Expect a great range of craft and food stands with all manner of yuletide gifts and festive fare – and winter warmer drinks of course.
Private parties are a speciality, and we can cater for small and large gatherings. We’ve great overnight rates too, so leave the car in our secure carpark and enjoy the fun into the wee small hours. Prices start at just €130 bed and breakfast for two people. Our award-winning breakfast is yet another reason to stay overnight.
